Development on 3 ideas in class (25th March)
As, I am interested in texture of ice created by salt, I worked on to see the way salt erodes and create texture on ices by putting salt differently.
When I put salt as a line on the ice, there is a line crack on the ice. I put the salt to be a circle on the ice, salt creates a hole on the ice. Also, I cover every surface of ice with salt, the texture is rough and does not change over time(salt-like) and ice gets smaller proportionally.
Also, to copy and capture the texture of ice, I press ices on a clay to make a mold..and put pritt glue to create ice’s form. However, the glue doesn’t work, because as you know,it takes so much time to be dry and creates to much bubble. Actually, I wanted to use rasin, but I didn’t have it in class..I will try it at home:)
Moreover, I tried to drop printing ink after the salt eroded the ice. What I found is very interesting. The ink went inside the ice where salt eroded. I guess that salt may carry the ink.
